April Rose of the Month - Flutterbye

Flutterbye Flutterbye (WEKplasol), S, yellow blend
RIR score: 7.7 out of 10.

Parentage: [Playboy X (R. Soulieana derivative X Sunsprite)]
Hybridized by Tom Carruth
Introduced in 1996

This rose has color! Blooms of multiple colors include: yellow, coral, orange, tangerine, and pink. Add to this large clusters of single petal flowers with a moderately spicy fragrance and you've got an eyefull. Blooms are 1.5 - 2 inches in diameter.

The bush gets very large and rounded, and makes a very nice free standing shrub, but can be trained onto a pillor or tripod as a climber. Foliage is dark green and glossy (like is parent 'Playboy') and lots of it. Prickles are moderate.

ZONES 5-9.
